Decoding the Mysteries of Medically Unexplained Neurologic Diseases

Using advanced research techniques, Rutgers Health–led scientists have shed light on how chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia are related, paving the way to even bigger breakthroughs.

New research may create some respite for sufferers of two medically unexplained fatigue-inducing conditions: myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and fibromyalgia (FM).

The conclusion, and the methods used to reach it, could inform how these and other conditions – such as multiple sclerosis, long COVID, Alzheimer’s and post-treatment Lyme disease – are diagnosed and treated.

“Using mass spectrometry to analyze spinal fluid, the liquid that bathes the brain, we found that these two illnesses may fall along a common disease spectrum,” said Steven Schutzer, a professor of medicine at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and lead author of the study published in the Annals of Medicine.

“The results have implications for how the conditions can be investigated, while the technique may help advance treatment approaches with these diseases, and many others,” Schutzer said.

Due to advances in mass spectrometry, of 2,083 proteins quantified, 1,789 proteins were present in both samples of ME/CFS and fibromyalgia, and only ME/CFS, indicating there is a relationship between the two diseases.

U.S. Attorney’s Office Files Lawsuit Against Franklin County Jail Alleging It Discriminated Against Officer With Lyme Disease

U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Pennsylvania

SCRANTON- The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced today that it filed a lawsuit charging Franklin County Jail (the Jail) with violating Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  The lawsuit alleges that the Jail unlawfully terminated a correctional officer whose disability substantially limited her ability to walk, stand, concentrate, and sleep.  The correctional officer sought, but was denied, a modification of the Jail’s policy that a probationary employee could only have two unscheduled absences during her probationary period.  Although the Jail initially provided the employee an accommodation, it later relied on the absence policy to terminate her.

“Employers must make reasonable accommodations so that employees with disabilities can earn a living,” said U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam.  “Lyme Disease creates debilitating health issues for numerous Pennsylvanians yearly, and employers should find reasonable solutions to allow employees with any kind of disability to work and not terminate them because of that disability.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office will continue to enforce civil rights laws and ensure equal employment opportunities for all.”

Title I of the ADA prohibits employers from discriminating against a qualified individual on the basis of disability in regard to the hiring, advancement, or discharge of employees; employee compensation; and other terms, conditions, or privileges of employment.  An employer may not demote, terminate, or deny employment opportunities to an employee who is otherwise qualified if the demotion or termination is based on the need to make reasonable accommodations for the employee.

The U.S. Employment Opportunity Commission, Philadelphia District Office, found that the Jail violated the ADA and referred the matter to the Department of Justice.  The United States is represented by Assistant United States Attorney Michael J. Butler, Civil Rights Coordinator, and Attorney Kimberly Scheckner of the Civil Rights Division’s Disability Rights Section.

COVID Magic Explained: American Domestic Bioterrorism Program Legally Transforms Us All into Slaves

Katherine Watt has painstakingly chronicled what I’ve now termed “COVID magic,”  or the continued ability for madness to reign in spite of all logic, science, and reality.  Her article documents the critical decay began around 1983 (which is also close to the beginning of the Lyme/MSIDS timeline, also ruled by ‘magic’) when the ‘public health emergencies’ section was added to the 1944 Public Health Service Act.

In short:

The basic goal of the architects, which has been achieved, was to set up legal conditions in which all governing power in the United States could be automatically transferred from the citizens and the three Constitutional branches into the two hands of the Health and Human Services Secretary, effective at the moment the HHS Secretary himself declared a public health emergency, legally transforming free citizens into enslaved subjects.

Congress and US Presidents legalized and funded the overthrow of the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. government and the American people, through a massive domestic bioterrorism program relabeled as a public health program, conducted by the HHS Secretary and Secretary of Defense on behalf of the World Health Organization and its financial backers.

It’s all documented by Watts, which was no small feat.

OVERVIEW

I started looking closely at the legal architecture supporting the Covid national prison panopticon on Jan. 30, 2022, after hearing Attorney Todd Callender’s interview, which provided information about the American domestic legal framework; how it fit with the oddly-coordinated pandemic story told by governments worldwide; and how it relates to the World Health Organization International Health Regulations of 2005 at the center.

I wrote up the interview:

Prior to that day, I’d spent a lot of time, with increasing confusion and alarm and despair, trying to figure out why the U.S. Constitutional legal system hadn’t put a stop to the nonsense as its nonsensicality became obvious to so many people.

Why did it continue, with no end in sight, and not even a glimpse of a path to the end?

Since then, as I’ve dug into Callender’s analysis following the supporting paper trails, I’ve learned why, and how.

A whole lot of things that once were federal and state crimes and civil rights violations have been legalized by Congress through legislative, statutory revisions to the United States Code, signed by US Presidents, and implemented at the administrative, regulatory level by the Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Defense through the Code of Federal Regulations.  (See link for article and detailed timeline)

Mass Vaccination Extends Pandemic into its Fourth Year

The Spanish Influenza pandemic was over with in two years 1918-1919. There was an insignificant attempt at mass vaccination and largely the outbreak ran its course affecting one third of the world’s population.

With SARS-CoV-2 being engineered in the Wuhan Institute of Virology intentionally as a human biologic threat coupled with with a global, planned mass vaccination campaign by the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex, the COVID-19 pandemic is extending into its fourth year.

The CDC Nowcast system indicates as of December 23, 2023, that 44% of the Omicron subvariants are JN.1

Yang et al recently published observations that JN.1 has a unique mutation in the receptor binding domain of the Spike protein making it an immune escape artist.

“In summary, JN.1, by inheriting BA.2.86’s antigenic diversity and acquisition of L455S, rapidly achieved extensive resistance across receptor binding domain class 1, 2, and 3 antibodies, and showed higher immune evasion compared with BA.2.86 and other resistant strains like HV.1 and JD.1·1, at the expense of reduced human ACE2 binding. This evolutionary pattern, similar to the previous transition from BA.2.75 to CH.1.1 and XBB, highlights the importance of closely monitoring strains with high human ACE2 binding affinity and distinct antigenicity, like BA.2.86 and BA.2.75, despite their unremarkable immune evasion capabilities. Such strains could survive and transmit at low levels since their antigenic difference would allow them to target distinct populations compared with dominant strains and have the potential to quickly accumulate highly immune-evasive mutations at the cost of human ACE2 binding capabilities.”

The JN.1 subvariant which is likely to breakthrough natural and vaccine immunity with ease, is all the more reason to be armed and ready…..  (See link for article)

According to this, JN.1 patients are presenting two the two distinct symptoms of headache and diarrhea.  The other symptoms are very similar to previous Omicron variants and include fever, fatigue, sore throat, and even runny nose, congestion, muscle aches, and other GI issues like nausea and loss of appetite.

I recently had another bout of something.  What was unique this time was vocal box involvement giving me Laryngitis.  This eventually moved into my chest causing severe coughing.  This drug on and on until I finally requested antibiotics (clindamycin) which set me straight again.  I also used Dr. Levvy’s food grade hydrogen peroxide nebulizer treatment as well as ivermectin, vitamin C, and the usual immune helps.

I found this interesting:  https://www.theepochtimes.com/health/potential-covid-induced-vocal-cord-paralysis-in-adolescents  The case of a 15-year old presented within is severe and I did not have difficulty swallowing or shortness of breath but this patient also had a history of asthma and anxiety. Adults have also had vocal fold paralysis or weakness with COVID as well, and the paralysis can be temporary or permanent.

So it appears this vocal chord involvement is now being seen more.

A new study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) found that 55 of the 92 American doctors who determine what diagnoses and treatments are included in the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) most recent edition of their Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) collectively received more than $14 million in previously undisclosed industry funding.1

The APA’s manual is often referred to as the “bible” of psychiatric disorders because of its enormous influence on clinical practice, affecting such disparate domains as jurisprudence and insurance claims. The APA also produces and disseminates clinical-practice guidelines directly tied to DSM diagnoses.2  The DSM’s fifth edition, the DSM-V, was published in May 2013; a text revision was published in March 2022 as the DSM-5-TR.

Transparency is Not the Answer

After the 1994 release of DSM-4, the APA instituted a policy requiring expert advisors to disclose drug industry ties. But the move toward transparency did little to cut down on conflicts of interest, with nearly 70 percent of DSM-5 task force members reporting financial relationships with pharmaceutical companies—up from 57 percent for DSM-4.7

A few points:

  • The study used info only from Open Payments which doesn’t include payments to doctors based outside the U.S. so the problem is worse.
  • Panel members with Pharma ties have introduced new diagnoses and revisions to treatment which have lacked scientific evidence but helps industry.
  • In 2019, 1 in 6 Americans over age 18 took medication for a psychiatric disorder.
  • The Institute of Medicine (IOM) is recommending that only independent experts without commercial ties be involved in clinical guideline decision-making.
One would hope this last point would be common practice, but alas, it isn’t.

More Than Half of CDC Employees End Up Working for Pharma

A study conducted by researchers at the University of Southern California (USC) and Harvard University and published in the journal Health Affairs found that 54 percent of the staff members, who were employed at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and left the federal health agency during 2004-2020, went on to work for the pharmaceutical industry.1 2 3

According to the study:

Exiting staff went to not only biopharmaceutical and device manufacturers, but also health insurers, information and communication technology firms, real estate firms with medical property portfolios, and consulting firms.1

Current Laws and Regulations Have Little Impact on CDC/Pharma Conflicts of Interest

Current federal laws and regulations, which were supposed to reduce conflicts of interest that arise from the revolving door between the CDC employees and pharma, do not appear to adequately address the “pre- and post-departure risks.” Study authors Kanter and Carpenter cited 18 U.S. Code Section 207, which imposes a one- to two-year “cooling-off period” on former officials within the executive branch of the federal government and prohibits them from lobbying the government on behalf of private organizations.1 3

Kanter said that the cooling off period laws “do not cover much lobbying related to federal agency decision making, like regulations and drug authorizations, so they don’t necessarily deter that behavior.”3

Revolving Door Between CDC and Pharma a Serious Problem

The “sheer scale” of the revolving door between the CDC and other DHHS agencies, such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is apparently serious enough that Kanter and Carpenter described it as a “troubling” and one that “merits further scrutiny.”1

Speaking of treatment “guidelines” and sordid history, investigative journalist Kris Newby uncovered the fact that a majority of those determining the Lyme treatment guidelines also had financial conflicts of interest with Big Pharma.

It’s important to note that these guidelines have remained frozen in time for over 40 years despite new science and reality.  This of course means the controversy continues making doctors too frightened to treat patients and depart from the accepted narrative.
