The dark reality of living with Lyme disease

I have lived in New Paltz, New York, my whole life and throughout that time, have grown accustomed to many of the seemingly odd local rituals that our town performs.

One of these oddities is that in elementary school, New Paltz students learn to tuck their jeans into their socks, stuffing them full until their feet look like weird upside down sock puppets before departing on a field trip.

This is all part of the general awareness for ticks that the Hudson Valley strongly promotes to its residents. Students learn to buddy up and do tick checks and their noses often become normalized to the scent of DEET as parents worryingly spray down their clothes.  (See link for article)

Bredberg admits that he became infected when tick awareness was nowhere near what it is today.  Similarly to others in Lymeland, despite severe hallmark symptoms all tests returned ‘negative.’

If it wasn’t for a relentless mother, he probably never would have gotten help.

Unfortunately he uses the wrong statistic that up to 20% go on to suffer long-term symptoms when in reality it’s somewhere between 40-60%. I also must disagree that ‘research, treatment, and awareness has come a long way from where it was 10 years ago.’

Despite climbing numbers, we are no further along in understanding why some develop chronic Lyme/MSIDS and others don’t, and how to effectively treat it.

While awareness efforts have increased, this is entirely due to sick people who have done what they can in their sphere of influence.

For anyone paying attention, the players in this global cabal are all interrelated and are working in lockstep, which has rightly caused a crisis of trust.  While the unelected fully believe they need to dictate our every move due to our stupidity, they’ve been attempting to rebuild trust as they also attempt to ‘build back better,’ but the public is finally waking up to the fact nothing is back and nothing is better, as our freedoms are being removed one by one under the guise of ‘pandemics,’ ‘public health,’ ‘climate change,’ and ‘equity.’

Many are unaware that the climate narrative is part and parcel of this global endgame and that drastic and irreversible climate engineering worries real scientists who state the endeavor should be relegated to the fantasy realm and science fiction.

I started criticizing scientists for not making their data publicly available, for not being transparent about their method and they quickly started labeling us a denier and tried to discredit me.

At about 13:00, Curry explains that in 2009, hacked ‘Climategate’ emails exposed that Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) authors were trying to avoid FOIA requests and rig the peer-review process. 

Previously to this, IPCC canonized and heavily promoted the infamously fraudulent hockey stick graph which relies on junk science and the proxy evidence from the tree rings of a single Yamal larch!  The graph was discredited in 2003.

Dr. Ball spent over eight years of his life defeating in a court of law not one top IPCC climate scientist, but two. It is more than mere coincidence that Dr Ball, a world-leading skeptical climatologist, was systematically targeted for legal retribution time and again by political groups such as the unscrupulous  Climate Science Legal Defense Fund.  As a retired scientist in his 80’s, he was a easy picking, and the stress of these lawsuits put an enormous toll on his health.  He managed to write a damning book of the 30-year back story of the great climate fraud titled ‘The Deliberate Corruption of Climate Science.’

9 New ‘Independent’ Advisers to CDC Publicly Promoted Vaccines or Took Money From Pharma — or Both

After struggling for months to fill seats on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s vaccine advisory committee, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced nine new appointees. All have financial ties to vaccine makers or have publicly promoted COVID-19, RSV and HPV vaccines — or both.

SUMMARY OF ARTICLE:
  • HHS appointed new members to the ACIP – 9 of which have conflicts of interest
  • ACIP, which is supposed to be an independent, nonfederal expert body has nothing to do with health and everything to do with profit
  • The group includes 14 medical experts and a singular lay member to represent consumers as well as a non-voting body of eight ex officio members from other federal health departments & health-related organizations
  • The group recently lacked enough members to vote, requiring temporary government employees to fill in
  • The group  has also struggled to fill vacancies which will only increase in June
  • The article states that ‘stringent measures and rigorous screening,’ were used yet ALL of the new appointees have received grant funding or consulting fees from major pharmaceutical companies, including vaccine makers like Pfizer, Moderna and Merck, or have worked for HHS or on recent HHS grants developing or testing vaccines or investigating how to improve vaccine uptake.
  • Many were also key public advocates for the COVID, RSV, and HPV vaccines.
  • The article gives specifics on appointees and their conflicts, which is frankly depressing and clearly unethical.

Another perfect example that corrupt government agencies are beyond hope and rehabilitation, and quit caring about health decades ago, if they ever did.

Meningitis Secondary to Lyme Disease: Case Report

CASE REPORT: MENINGITIS SECONDARY TO LYME DISEASE

In this case report, “Meningitis in the Guise of Dementia: Lyme-Induced Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus,” Liu and colleagues review the case of an elderly patient with dementia, found to have Lyme meningitis in the setting of a normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). [1]

An 80-year-old man was admitted to a hospital in Pennsylvania, an area endemic for Lyme disease, due to increased weakness and confusion. He had “several days of nausea with decreased appetite, generalized malaise, fatigue, and weakness,” according to the authors.

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) studies suggested aseptic meningitis. And a CT scan showed dilated ventricles. Treatment for normal pressure hydrocephalus relieved his symptoms.

On the fourth day of hospitalization, the man tested positive for Lyme disease by Western blot on bands 23KD and 39KD.

“Healthcare providers treating patients with NPH should consider Lyme disease as a differential diagnosis because of the multiple reported cases of NPH secondary to Lyme disease.”

“The patient was subsequently diagnosed with aseptic meningitis secondary to Lyme,” the authors state.

He was treated with IV and oral doxycycline. But his dementia did not completely resolve, “likely due to primary dementia or other condition.”

“In the case of our patient, infectious meningitis was suspected due to this patient reportedly having had fevers and leukocytosis. Additionally, Lyme disease is among the most common reportable infections in Pennsylvania,” the authors state.

Authors Conclude:

“Lyme disease … can present with multiple complications, including arthritis, heart rhythm defects, facial nerve palsy, impaired memory, and meningitis. Hence, Lyme disease should be considered as part of the differential etiology of meningitis.

Again, doxy is a great front-line drug but hardly a panacea.

Coinfections are never considered or talked about.
