Take Action TODAYThe U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Committee is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, July 22 to vote on the Appropriations Bill which contains extremely troubling provisions quietly added into the proposed legislation. These provisions are designed to shield the chemical industry from liability from harms to farmers and consumers while restricting the Environmental Protection Administration’s (EPA) ability to protect citizens from harmful exposures.

Section 453 was added to the bill to block the government from taking action on health concerns if they differ in any way from the EPA’s most recent health assessments, however outdated and inadequate they may be. The EPA and other agencies would be required to perform new assessments that could take four to 12 years even if new science shows harm and even if the original assessment was found to be based on fraud. If passed, Section 453 will strip farmers and consumers from their ability to seek damages against chemical manufacturers from injury and death when these companies fail to disclose potential harms occurring from exposure to their products.

Section 507 drastically reduces the EPA’s ability to protect consumers from PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), the manmade “forever chemicals” that have profound negative implications upon human health including cancer, hormone disruption, liver and thyroid problems, reproductive harm, and abnormal fetal development.

American citizens need more transparency and accountability – not less – as passage of the Appropriations Bill in its current state will ensure. Email your representative TODAY using the form in the above link. You can also call the committee members’ office to tell them to remove Sections 453 and 507 from the Bill. Lyme disease is on the rise in the U.S., according to the CDC, mainly in the Northeast, Upper Midwest, and parts of the West. In 2023, state health departments reported more than 89,000 cases of Lyme disease in humans to the CDC, but the actual number of cases is likely much higher due to underreporting and misdiagnosis.
If left untreated, Lyme disease can lead to serious complications affecting the heart, joints, and nervous system. Other tickborne illnesses are also of concern, including Powassan virus and Heartland virus. There is currently no vaccine against tickborne illnesses.

Sadly, researchers continue to slice and dice this complex illness into a singular infection they call ‘Lyme disease,’ when truth be told, patients are often infected with numerous things working synergistically together, making the illness much more complex, harder to identify and treat, and much harder to overcome. So the very name, ‘Lyme disease,’ is inadequate for most patients.

I realize why they do this: due to their very specific work, they must omit variables to conduct research – at least within the current allopathic model of one drug and vaccine, for one disease.  Unfortunately, this is often not what we are dealing with at all in reality.

The United States has REJECTED the amendments to the International Health Regulations

Two nations (U.S and Israel) have now rejected the 2024 IHR amendments to the International Health Regulations. 194 more nations need to take this action before Saturday, July 19, 2025.

HHS & State Department: The United States Rejects Amendments to International Health Regulations

WASHINGTON, DC—JULY 18, 2025—Today, the Department of State, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), transmitted the official U.S. rejection of the 2024 amendments to the International Heath Regulations (IHR) (2005). This action delivers on our promise to the American people – to fight for Americans in the international system, protect our national sovereignty, and prevent international bureaucrats from shaping U.S. domestic policies.

In 2024, the World Health Assembly (WHA) adopted amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) that significantly expanded the World Health Organization’s (WHO) authority over international public health responses. Developed without adequate public input, these amendments expand the role of the WHO in public health emergencies, create additional authorities for the WHO for shaping pandemic declarations, and promote WHO’s ability to facilitate “equitable access” of health commodities. These amendments have undue influence on our domestic health responses from WHO directives. They also fail to adequately address the WHO’s susceptibility to the political influence and censorship – most notably from China – during outbreaks. These amendments were set to become binding on the United States regardless of our withdrawal from the WHO.

Terminology throughout the 2024 amendments is vague and broad, risking WHO-coordinated international responses that focus on political issues like solidarity, rather than rapid and effective actions. The amendments also suggest that countries develop capabilities that jeopardize management and dissemination controls over public health information, potentially stifling valuable scientific debate. Furthermore, these revisions compel countries to adopt digital health documents. Our Agencies have been and will continue to be clear: we will put Americans first in all our actions and we will not tolerate international policies that infringe on Americans’ speech, privacy, or personal liberties. These amendments risk unwarranted interference with our national sovereign right to make health policy. We are proud to have worked jointly to ensure public health policy continues to be dictated by the values and will of the American people, not unelected global actors.
