Check out Wisconsin Lyme Network’s First Newsletter

CLICK HERE to read the Vector-borne Illness Education of WI newsletter

The funds raised at the May 19th 2012 Lace Up For Lyme Walk enables the Wisconsin Lyme Network {501 c3} to sponsor the statewide newsletter named VIEW {Vector-borne Illness Education of WI.} The first draft of VIEW will be mailed to every Physician in the state of WI. Yes, EVERY physician.

The first edition of the VIEW focuses on:

  • Lyme is a clinical diagnosis.
  • Lyme and co-infection testing is inaccurate and should not be relied upon to treat those infected.
  • Ticks carry Babesia, Bartonella, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis as well as lyme.
  • The symptoms to watch for regarding these co-infections.

The newsletter is an introduction for physicians all over the state of WI to the epidemic of tick-borne illness in this state. We have set up a special e-mail address in which physicians can contact Wisconsin Lyme Network for further information and/or training in vector-borne illness. A generous WI patron passed away recently and left tens of thousands of dollars specifically ear marked for training WI physicians according to ILADS treatment protocols. We will be able to train several Physicians with these funds.

Feel free to share this news letter with family and friends and of course medical professionals.  You can visit Wisconsin Lyme Network’s website at :  http://www.wisconsinlyme.net
