New Bill in Congress to Preserve Parental Rights During COVID-19

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE // August 13, 2020 // Washington, D.C. – On Friday, Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) introduced a bill on the floor of the US House, which would suspend a federal provision that generally requires states to file for Termination of Parental Rights (TPR) against parents whose children have spent 15 or more of the last 22 months in foster care or other state custody.

Moore’s bill is H.R. 7976, the “Suspend the Timeline Not Parental Rights During a Public Health Crisis Act.”

Proponents of the bill, who hail from all sides of the political spectrum, argue that suspending the arbitrary timeline just makes sense in this season of unintended and often-inescapable delays caused by reactions to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Before the pandemic, many of these children would have been returned to their families,” Jey Rajaraman, chief counsel for the Family Representation Project, Legal Services of New Jersey, said for a press release from the Congresswoman’s office. “But agencies have been unable to provide the services needed to facilitate reunification. We should not allow this pandemic to lead to unnecessary permanent termination of parent-child relationships.”

Andrew Brown, with the Texas Family Policy Foundation, agrees. “Parents who were diligently working services required to provide a safe, stable home for their children suddenly, and through no fault of their own, found themselves unable to access these services due to COVID-19 pandemic-related lockdowns. . . . A temporary suspension of termination timelines gives these parents a fair opportunity to restore their families and honors their decision to take personal responsibility by doing the hard work necessary to achieve reunification.”

“Termination of parental rights has been called ‘the death penalty of the family courts,’” adds Michael Ramey, executive director of ParentalRights.org. “By no means should we race to inflict it on families just because they had the extreme misfortune of being separated, often by overzealous state actors, in a time when COVID-19 alone prevents reunification.”

The Children’s Bureau of the US Department of Health and Human Services has urged states to employ an exemption for special circumstances; that exemption is already written into the federal law that created the guidelines in the first place, but many states are not making use of it. This leads to virtually random results from state to state—and often from judge to judge.

“Congress made this mess by putting this arbitrary guideline into the Adoption and Safe Families Act in the first place,” Ramey says. “Now it’s time for Congress to clean up their mess, by providing clear guidance for states to employ common sense instead.”

Tennessee Walks Back Child Wellbeing Guidance

The Tennessee Department of Education issued a letter this weekend completely withdrawing child wellbeing guidance that last week caused a tremendous outcry due to parental rights and family privacy concerns.
That letter, addressed to the Tennessee legislature and forwarded to us by one of our friends there, is attached here.
Last week’s policy guidance, created by the Child Wellbeing Task Force, set a goal for government agents to make contact with every child in the state. We cautioned that such a policy, if adopted, would threaten the right of parents to be presumed to act in their own child’s best interests. The policy would have treated every parent like a suspected child abuser.
The response letter states, “Governor Lee has asked our department to remove the guidance document and go back to the drawing board so we get this right.
“I want to assure you that we recognize the concerns that you and your constituents share, and we realize why those concerns exist…. I also acknowledge the vast difference between providing support for vulnerable children as opposed to any potential overreach into what parents determine is best for their children.”
(Their stated intention of providing support for vulnerable children is, tragically, necessary and a valid goal for state government.)
At this point, we have every reason to believe the letter is sincere, and that future steps to protect vulnerable children will not intrude on the rights of fit, loving parents to uphold their family’s privacy. We count this as a win for parental rights and for all families in your state.
In Tennessee as in every other state, however, we must remain vigilant against such threats as may arise in the future.
Thank you for standing with us to protect children by empowering parents, in Tennessee and across the country.
Sincerely,
Michael Ramey
Executive Director

Government quietly drops 1.3m Covid tests from England tally

Exclusive: Double counting raises fresh questions about accuracy of testing figures

The government has quietly removed 1.3m coronavirus tests from its data because of double counting, raising fresh questions about the accuracy of the testing figures.

In the government’s daily coronavirus update on Wednesday, it announced it had lowered the figure for “tests made available” by about 10% and discontinued the metric.

An update on the page read: “An adjustment of -1,308,071 has been made to the historic data for the ‘tests made available’ metric. The adjustments have been made as a result of more accurate data collection and reporting processes recently being adopted within pillar 2.”

The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) said the changes affected data reported between 14 May and 12 August. It said there had been “a double-counting of test kits that had been dispatched”, “which had not been removed from the lab’s processed data”.

Have enough autopsies been done across the world to produce answers to COVID-19? Objective reflection on practice is one of the ways that we solve problems. What place do autopsies have in this global COVID-19 pandemic?

A post on LinkedIn in April this year stating “First full autopsy on covid-19 patient” brought the issue to light.

There are probably many reasons for limiting the number of autopsies during this pandemic, but unfortunately these have not been considered an important part of our strategy. Pathological examination of tissue represents the foundation of medicine. Without this piece of the puzzle we are walking in the dark.

Let us make a fresh start and invest the necessary resources to do detailed pathological examination on as many patients as possible who have died with COVID-19.

Today could represent a new beginning.  Dr. McMillan

The same could be said about Lyme/MSIDS.

**UPDATE**

Professor Borody gives a brief interview on the “Night Shift,” on his successful COVID treatments which are being mercilessly censored and maligned by corrupt public health authorities.

“We Know it’s Curable; It’s Easier than Treating the Flu” — Professor Thomas Borody

Australian radio host Luke Bona interviewed this August 12 Professor Thomas Borody, from the Centre for Digestive Diseases in Sydney, Australia, about Ivermectin-based therapies for COVID-19.

The interview is short and to the point, and should be of interest to everyone in the world.

See French version of the article at this link.

Based on existing research and his analysis of therapeutic results using Ivermectin in combination with 2 other widely available generic drugs – Doxycycline and Zinc -, he asserts that COVID-19 is now curable and even easier to treat than the flu.

Here are some excerpts.

“We came up with a treatment that is simple, safe, and can get rid of the coronavirus in almost all patients treated within 6 to 10 days.”

“It can treat and get rid, within 6 to 10 days, of the coronavirus”

“It is an easy, very easy virus to cure, when you combine the dosage we have described, because it inhibits the growth of the bug. It just goes away, and you no longer can find it in an infected person.”

Q: “Why aren’t we treating every elderly person in every health care facility, in every aged care facility with this?”

“There is no drug company behind it. There are no people who are lobbying government and giving donations for reelections and so forth. I don’t know the answer.”

“It also happened when I developed the tritherapy (for H. Pilory infection), because there was no company behind that. It took 26 years… Those people who otherwise would now be dying from bleeding ulcers stopped bleeding, stopped dying…”

“This is the same sort of situation I think. It’s hard to get traction when there is  no big payback, no payout to a large company.”

Q: “I understand there are clinical trials of this ivermectin therapy going on in 32 countries”

“The important ones have already been done. The drugs that we use are all approved by the TGA and the FDA. So tomorrow you can write a script for it, because they are approved for other reasons.” (note: TGA stands for Therapeutic Goods Administration)

“The trials that I know of … have been done in places where there are a lot of coronavirus patients…”

“In Bangladesh, 60 out of 60 were cured.“

“That’s not easy to believe, because it’s just too good too be true.”

“In China, they compared coronavirus treatment with either ivermectin mixed, or hydroxychloroquine mixed.”

“Hydroxychloroquine is not a bad drug when you combine it with azithromycin. They got 96.3% cure”

“But with ivermectin, it was 100%.”

Q: “Have you spoken directly to Greg Hunt?” (Australia’s health minister)

“No I haven’t been able to get through.”

“I don’t blame him at all. Things go to his advisers…. The advisers are not experts in this field… They don’t read the journals, the articles….

.As Boorstin said, ‘One of the great obstacles to discovery, it’s not ignorance,  it’s the illusion of knowledge.,.

“They have the illusion of knowledge. They think they know. They say you have to go to animal studies first, pre-clinical, not knowing you don’t need to do trials on approved drugs.”

Q: “Professor, where do we go from here, how do we get this happening?”

“I would very much like to see … teams set up that would quickly treat all the infected Victorians…”

“We need to treat Victorians today, because we have a therapy which will give people hope.”

“In the future, we will not need to worry if we get positivity.”

“You get treated immediately, you don’t need to go to the hospital.”

“It’s easier than treating the flu now.”

“You can actually eradicate it.”

“You can’t eradicate Hepatitis C that easily. HIV we cannot. Here we use a bunch of drugs, and the bug disappears…”

“We know it’s curable.”

Professor Borody is most famous for his ground-breaking work developing the triple therapy cure for peptic ulcers in 1987, which has saved hundreds of thousands of lives, and the Australian health system more than $10 billion in medical care and operations.

Professor Borody founded the Centre for Digestive Diseases (CDD) in 1984 after a distinguished career with leading hospitals including St Vincent’s in Sydney and the Mayo Clinic in the USA.

He is a world-renowned leader in the clinical microbiota dating back to 1988 when he started performing what is now called Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT).

Professor Borody holds over 150 patents in areas such as; treatment of Helicobacter pylori, Crohn’s disease, bowel lavage, IBS and FMT.

Australian GPs Can Legally Prescribe Ivermectin Triple Therapy Protocol — Professor Thomas Borody

The Centre for Digestive Diseases issued today a press release titled “Ivermectin Triple Therapy Protocol for COVID-19 Released to Australian GPs for Infected Elderly and Frontline Workers.”

As we previously covered, this early treatment protocol combines ivermectin with doxycycline and zinc.

“Triple therapy specialist Professor Thomas Borody, famous for curing peptic ulcers using a triple antibiotic therapy saving millions of lives, today released the COVID-19 treatment protocol to Australian GPs, who can legally prescribe it to their COVID-19 positive patients. They can also prescribe it as a preventative medication. Borody says this could be the fastest and safest way to end the pandemic in Australia within 6-8 weeks.”

“The three medications are now on chemist shelves right now. GPs can email GP@CDD.com.au to obtain the dosing protocol and COVID-19 treatment information for their patients.”

“GPs can legally prescribe the therapy today as an “off label” treatment according to Australian Guidelines – a standard practice in medicine.”

“In fact more than 60% of prescriptions in Australia are “off-label”. It’s not a new concept. It’s happening every day to manage diseases and save lives.”

But ‘authorities’ don’t care.  They are still waiting for the lucrative, magic-bullet vaccine.
