In this episode of the Tick Boot Camp Podcast, we sit down with Janet Sperling, PhD, President of the Canadian Lyme Disease Foundation (CanLyme) and an accomplished entomologist whose research focuses on the bacterial microbiome of ticks across Canada. Janet’s journey with Lyme disease began when her teenage son was bitten by a tick during a family trip to California. His symptoms, starting with sinusitis and progressing to more severe illness, led to a long and frustrating medical journey involving multiple doctors, misdiagnoses, and eventually a clinical Lyme diagnosis supported by IGeneX testing.

Janet shares her personal experience as a mother navigating the complexities of Lyme disease, as well as her professional expertise studying common tick species in Canada.

Her research investigates the bacterial communities within these ticks, the role of bird migration in tick population spread, and the limitations of current microbiome analysis techniques.

Key Discussion Points:

  • Janet’s son’s Lyme disease story and the challenges of getting a diagnosis
  • Differences in tick species and their bacterial microbiomes
  • How environmental factors like bird migration contribute to the spread of tick-borne diseases
  • The importance of prevention and early intervention in tick bite cases
  • Why understanding tick biology is essential for public health policy in Canada
  • How CanLyme is advancing Lyme disease research

Lyme Disease Prevention Tips from Janet Sperling:

  • Avoid tick bites by using protective clothing and repellents
  • Perform thorough tick checks after outdoor activities
  • Identify the tick species and feeding stage if bitten
  • Consider tick testing when appropriate

Whether you’re a Lyme patient, caregiver, or simply interested in the science behind ticks, this episode offers a unique blend of personal narrative and cutting-edge entomology research.

I confess I have not listened to the entire podcast but from the notes, I’m thankful this entomologist is also blaming bird migration for tick and disease proliferation and not the accepted narrative of ‘climate change,’ which is based upon corrupt data, and which has been proven by independent research to be a mute point on these issues.  Further, more and more experts are squashing the ‘climate change’ agenda.

Similarly with Lyme and COVIDscience tribalism has led to mass climate censorship and big business.

The Climate Alarmism Grift is Dying

The Climate Alarmism Grift is Dying

Last week, the BBC reminded us that we have just three years left to drastically reduce all CO2 emissions, or we risk crossing the dreaded 1.5°C warming limit set by the Paris Agreement. A persistent feature of the degreed managerial class is their arrogant refusal to learn from their past flawed predictions. Dire warnings of climate catastrophe have shaped global policy, media narratives, and public perception, resulting in the waste of hundreds of billions of dollars on technology that does not work. Predictions by climate ‘experts’ of submerged cities, the end of snow, vanishing ice caps, and dead coral formations never materialize.

Thinking that highly credentialed Ivy League professors would use science and math to destroy the man-made climate change narrative was not plausible a year ago. Yet, in this new cultural zeitgeist created after the implosion of the Democratic Party, the impossible is now possible.

In a shocking display of academic integrity, two eminent professors published a masterfully complex paper that undermines the foundation of climate alarmism. MIT’s Richard Lindzen, Professor of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences, Emeritus, and Princeton’s William Happer, Professor of Physics, Emeritus, published a paper titled PHYSICS DEMONSTRATES THAT INCREASING GREENHOUSE GASES CANNOT CAUSE DANGEROUS WARMING, EXTREME WEATHER OR ANY HARM.

Their message is simple: CO2-driven warming poses no danger to the planet, while the net-zero policies designed to reduce CO2 do more harm than good. It takes a paper of serious complexity to validate such a simple message.  (See link for article & unbelievable dire forecasts)

The authors state CO2 is enhancing life by supercharging plant growth and delivering bountiful harvests at unprecedented rates.

Well, we can’t have that.

We must dim the sun to extinguish all life on planet earth!

Climate activists reacted to the paper as expected: they want the authors arrested and jailedHow’s that for free speech?

I highly recommend John Stossel’s excellent video destroying climate change myths, as well as the longer documentary – Climate: The Movie.

‘Science’ wrong about ‘global warming’ for over 50 years but refuses to admit fault or reform.

Lastly, researchers are by trade myopic. They rarely look at the big picture and reality is far different than a test-tube.  Sadly, climate research is rife with this myopia.

For instance, a groundbreaking study from the University of Nebraska  reveals that cows are actually carbon negative and that they produce MORE oxygen than the methane and carbon they emit.  The pastures where they graze can capture more emissions than what the cattle produce & also offset methane.]  You have to look at all the pertinent variables, not just a singular entity.

Justin Timberlake Reveals His ‘Relentlessly Debilitating’ Battle With Lyme Disease

The 44 year old singer was previously called out for cancelling multiple shows during the tour.

“If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically…

“When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure.

“But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.  ~ Justin Timberlake

Tick in a Box: Why Didn’t Justin Timberlake Get Morgellons?

Picture this: Justin Timberlake, the king of pop who brought sexy back, is out there cryin’ a river on stage during his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, but not because of a bad breakup—nah, it’s because he’s secretly battling Lyme disease, that sneaky tick-borne villain. On July 31, 2025, JT dropped the bomb on Instagram, revealing he’d been diagnosed with Lyme, describing it as “relentlessly debilitating” with nerve pain so bad it felt like his body was staging a mutiny. Fans were shocked—how did the guy who once gifted us “Dick in a Box” end up with a “Tick in a Box” instead? But here’s the real head-scratcher: JT got Lyme, but he didn’t spiral into Morgellons, that bizarre skin condition often lurking in Lyme’s shadow like an unwanted sequel nobody asked for.

Lyme disease, caused by those pesky Borrelia bacteria from tick bites, affects hundreds of thousands annually, turning everyday folks into exhausted zombies. Morgellons? That’s the plot twist where your skin feels like it’s hosting a bug rave, complete with fibers emerging like confetti from hell. Some dismiss it as delusion, but evidence ties it to Lyme. Yet, only a tiny fraction of Lyme sufferers—think 5-10%—get hit with Morgellons. JT dodged it, and we’re here to unpack why, with a dash of humor (because who doesn’t love a good JT pun?) while keeping things real about the serious stuff. We’ll break it down like one of his dance routines: smooth, informative, and with plenty of links to dive deeper, like this New York Times piece on his announcement. No medical degree required—just curiosity and a sense of humor.

Justin Timberlake isn’t just a singer; he’s a human Swiss Army knife—actor, dancer, golfer, and apparently, tick magnet. After wrapping his epic two-year tour on July 30, 2025, he hit Instagram with the news: “I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease—which I don’t say so you feel bad for me—but at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.” Oof, talk about a plot twist worthy of a thriller. Fans had been whispering about his “lackluster” energy on stage, as noted in this Page Six article, but now it all makes sense. Lyme had him feeling like he’d been hit by a truck, or maybe just a very determined tick.

His symptoms? Nerve pain that could make even the toughest cry me a river, fatigue so deep it rivals a post-concert hangover, and unexplained sickness that had him questioning if he was “bringing sexy back” or just bringing sickness back. No skin drama mentioned, though—no itching, no sores, no fibers—which is why Morgellons stayed off his setlist. Support rolled in from everywhere: *NSYNC buddy Chris Kirkpatrick praised his resilience on Insta, saying it was “rare,” while Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean dropped a “respect” bomb. Even on X (formerly Twitter), fans like TooFab highlighted the love.

JT joins a star-studded Lyme club: Avril Lavigne was bedridden for years, Bella Hadid calls it her “invisible illness,” and Shania Twain blamed it for vocal woes. Check out this Business Insider list for more celeb stories. But JT’s quick diagnosis (mid-tour, per CNN) and likely antibiotic blitz might be why he avoided extras like Morgellons. Living in tick hotspots like Tennessee or New York? Prime real estate for a “tick in a box” surprise. His transparency? Pure gold—encouraging tick checks after that golf game or hike. As USA Today notes, he’s boosting awareness big time.  (See link for article)

A few points on the article:

  • The bulls-eye rash is highly variable and many never get it.  Hardly anyone I work with sees a tick or a rash.
  • Ticks do not need 36-48 hours to transmit.  Minimum attachment time for transmission has NEVER been done.
  • Climate change has NOTHING to do with tick or tick-borne illness proliferation.  Ticks will be the last species on planet earth – vying for position with cock-roaches and IRA agents.
  • Symptoms are also highly variable and could immediately be severe – like Lyme carditis.
  • Chronic Lyme affects far, far more than 10-15%.  The literature only counts those diagnosed and treated early and completely ignores the larger subset of people diagnosed and treated late.  Add up the two groups and a whopping 40-60% go on with lingering symptoms.
  • Not all who treat with doxy for 10-21 days are ‘golden,’ and treatment failures have been found in every study ever done.
  • Sadly, those with Morgellons are gaslit even worse than Lyme/MSIDS patients.

Weather Control: What’s Real?

WEATHER CONTROL: WHAT’S REAL?

Geoengineering researcher Jim Lee joins guest host Jefferey Jaxen to unpack the real-world science behind weather modification. From cloud seeding to large-scale atmospheric interventions, Lee makes it clear: this is no longer science fiction.

He also discusses his recent interview with controversial cloud seeding tech CEO Augustus Doricko, who addresses claims tying his company to the catastrophic Texas floods.

AIR DATE: July 17, 2025

While Lee states Doricko’s actions had nothing to do with the Texas flooding, he’s but one man.  There are others with a differing opinion.  And regardless of the flood, spraying our air with toxins is unwise on so many levels from plant, sea, air, and animals to human life.

“Cloud seeding at best is gambling with the weather.  In the 80 years since cloud seeding was invented nobody’s been able to prove the scientific efficacy of it…..this is not control theory, it’s chaos theory. Whenever you put any chemical into the environment, you have no idea what the downwind effects of that are gonna be.”  ~ Jim Lee, researcher

The one thing we can agree on is that Doricko is being used as a scapegoat to deflect from others (mainly the U.S. military and other agencies) who are doing even worse nefarious things in the name of ‘climate change’ that are harming the entire planet.  Playing God with the weather and the climate is simply not going to end well, as we have seen, and will only make things worse.

Similarly to ‘vaccines,’ cloud seeding science is not settled.
It’s all a big fat experiment the public typically pays for one way or another.

“Rainmaker” Seeding Texas Two Days Before Flood

UPDATE:  Renowned climate engineering researcher Dane Wigington says:

“With this event in Texas that has just happened, the climate engineers, aka weather terrorists, overplayed their hand yet again. Now people are truly taking notice.

Wigington says 40 million to 60 million tons a year are being sprayed into the atmosphere.

Again, I post information like this for three reasons 1) To educate and inform patients so they can make informed decisions and vote with wisdom 2) Show how man’s interventions are behind any climate issues, not nature 3) Show how spraying the skies with toxins will affect everyone, particularly sick Lyme/MSIDS patients
