WI Lyme/MSIDS Patients – Contact Senator Tammy Baldwin Today!

Please contact Senator Baldwin today on this URGENT legislation and ask her to cosponsor the TICK Act (S. 1657) which establishes office oversight and coordination at HHS, reauthorizes regional Centers of Excellence in Vector Borne Disease, and authorizes grants to state health departments. This important bipartisan legislation, introduced by Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) and Tina Smith (D-MN), would significantly improve coordination at the federal level and provide communities and states with resources for prevention, early detection, and treatment of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases. 1571860110653_TICK Act One-Pager

The email to contact Senator Baldwin is: Erin_dugan@baldwin.senate.gov

I’ve included a generic template to simplify the process:

[ADDRESS]

Dear __________

[As your constituent, I am writing and asking you to cosponsor S.1657, the TICK Act. The TICK Act stands for “Ticks: Identify, Control, and Knockout Act”. This important bipartisan legislation, introduced by Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Tina Smith (D-MN), would significantly improve coordination at the federal level and provide communities and states with resources for prevention, early detection, and treatment of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases. Specifically, this legislation would:

(1) Establish an Office of Oversight and Coordination at HHS, to develop a National Strategy to expand research and improve testing and treatment affordability to fight tick-borne diseases;

(2) Reauthorize $10 million per year over the next five years for Regional Centers of Excellence in Vector-Borne Disease. These Centers collaborate with academia and public health agencies for surveillance, prevention, outbreak response;

(3) Authorize $20 million per year over the next five years in CDC Grants to States and communities across the country to raise awareness about Lyme and other tick-borne diseases, support early detection and diagnosis, and improve treatment.

Your support of S.1657, the TICK Act, is urgently needed. The overall number of Americans infected by Lyme and tick-borne diseases is rising and there is no end in sight. Last year, there were 450,000 cases of Lyme, a 1,400 percent increase from 2003.

[Please WRITE YOUR OWN STORY HERE or DELETE. For example: I got Lyme disease in 2015, while hiking on my favorite trail in… The disease has been devastating, and I am still fighting it everyday].

Lyme disease costs our nation more than $75 billion per year, including direct medical costs and indirect costs such as loss of work. As your constituent, I urge you to join the effort to combat Lyme and other tick-borne diseases by co-sponsoring S.1657, TICK Act, and become an advocate for this urgently needed, and long overdue, legislation.

Sincerely,

________________

If you haven’t studied vaccines, you need to.  Chronically infected patients with Lyme/MSIDS need to consider every single thing they put into and onto their bodies. We are waging a health war that compromises our immune systems.

Vaccine science is NOT settled and many are injured directly due to them.  Do your due diligence and study the issue from every angle.  You are worth it.

OCT 17, 2019 —

Today’s letter is a follow-up to my previous email sent to Cassandra Willyard who has written articles on Lyme disease vaccines. That letter with references to persistent infection (chronic Lyme) can be found in the following petition update: https://www.change.org/p/the-us-senate-calling-for-a-congressional-investigation-of-the-cdc-idsa-and-aldf/u/25199398

I recommend that you read that petition update first to understand what prompted the letter below.

Subject: No VACCINE until persistent infection is acknowledged and fully addressed PERIOD!!!
To the Tick-Borne Disease Working Group,

As a follow-up to yesterday’s email on the subject of “Lyme disease vaccines” (which has been posted to the Change.org Petition Site  with 83,225 signatures), patients who have the persistent form of the infection have been left to fend for themselves. Aside from turning a blind eye to the devastation there has been no government solution to the growing number of horribly disabled patients as exposed in the Under our Skindocumentary:
Under Our Skin – Extended Trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxWgS0XLVqw&feature=channel_page

It has been said time and time again that almost everyone knows someone whose life has been ruined as a result of Lyme disease.

Quote from Benjamin Franklin:

“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.”

So where is the public outrage? Before you label me as an “anti-vaxxer” let me ask the following question to those who have not been affected:

Why have you seen the devastation and kept silent?

Do you think this couldn’t happen to you or a loved one? Well think again because the odds are stacked against you as the current testing is no better than a coin toss, treatment is inadequate, medical training is deplorable and there is absolutely no disease control whatsoever.

A vaccine if it ever does come to market isn’t going to save the hundreds of thousands if not millions worldwide who are suffering from a disease that has destroyed lives, ended careers while leaving its victim in financial ruin. If Lyme disease is “Hard to Catch And Easy to Halt” as published in the 2001 New York Times article [1] why do we need a vaccine? All the evidence is pointing to vaccine development as the root cause of the mishandling of the disease. Patient testimony all across America (and the globe) is describing a life-altering/life threatening infection which has been misclassified as a simple nuisance disease by the defendants named in the Racketeering Lawsuit [2] and endorsed by the US Centers for Disease Control.

We need a CURE NOW and a vaccine is useless for the lives left in limbo desperate to recover their health.

Enough with the damn vaccine; acknowledge persistent infection and develop a cure for this antibiotic resistant/tolerant superbug and do this on a federal level with unlimited funds NOT on a shoestring as others are attempting to do privately. [3]

This protest and yesterday’s email will be forwarded to the 87 organizations, 11 countries also rejecting the IDSA’s proposed Lyme disease treatment guidelines; A worldwide rejection of a vaccine that does not help the horribly disabled.

Lyme & Reason – Lyme Disease and the Power of Innovation

**Comment**
Fox5 does a fantastic job covering Lyme disease once again. For more of their coverage:  https://madisonarealymesupportgroup.com/?s=Fox+5  (Dr. Phillips’ interview is particularly good)
At 15:00 they talk about using Disulfiram/Antabuse for Lyme. Disulfiram is an old drug used for alcoholism but has research showing its ability to kill all forms of Lyme (borrelia):  https://madisonarealymesupportgroup.com/2019/07/14/disulfiram-breakthrough-drug-for-lyme-other-tick-borne-diseases/  Please note the three case reports in the comment section
My husband and I tried Disulfiram and were up to the full dose for a solid month.
Unfortunately, I had what doctors call an allergic reaction to it.

Please read about my experience and make sure you understand all risks before taking this medication:  https://madisonarealymesupportgroup.com/2019/10/14/november-2019-lyme-support-meeting-oct-meeting-canceled-due-to-reaction-to-disulfiram/

I worry particularly about single patients that do not have someone monitoring them while taking this drug. Evidently, a group of Lyme literate doctors are concerned that some patients with a genetic predisposition can have significant side effects when using Disulfiram:  https://madisonarealymesupportgroup.com/2019/10/15/disulfiram-psychosis-update/

Significant side effects hardly expresses what I went through.
A $40 drug nearly killed me.

I don’t want to stop you from considering it, but please, please, discuss what happened to me with your doctor and read the “Disulfiram psychosis update” link and share with your doctor before taking it.

My initial side effects were:

  • converging eyes/vision
  • stomach bloating/gas/burping
  • inability to orgasm
NBC NewYork4 also did a fantastic series in 2017 called The Lyme Wars:
Here’s an old document I found called “Experimental Infection of the African Relapsing Fever Tick, Ornithodoros Moubata (Murray), With Borrelia Latychevi (Sofiev) by Willy Burgdorfer and Gordon E. Davis:
I have an old Army link showing tick experimentation as well but it’s been removed from the internet…..
For more on the bioweaponization of ticks:  https://madisonarealymesupportgroup.com/2019/07/19/biological-warfare-experiment-on-american-citizens-results-in-spreading-pandemic/  Author, Jerry Leonard, has spent untold hours studying this.
