First Run Features Acquires ‘The Quiet Epidemic,’ Documentary About “Vicious Medical Debate” Over Chronic Lyme Disease
EXCLUSIVE: First Run Features is promising “a robust awards campaign” for The Quiet Epidemic, after acquiring U.S. distribution rights to the documentary about Chronic Lyme and tick-borne disease.
The film directed by Lindsay Keys and Winslow Crane-Murdoch will begin a one-week Oscar-qualifying run at the IFC Center in New York on December 2, followed by a nationwide rollout in early 2023.
According to CDC figures, almost half a million Americans become infected with Lyme disease each year. Of those infected, a subset of patients will develop chronic symptoms, but according to the film, the medical community has largely been reluctant to acknowledge the reality of long-term illness from Lyme disease. The story follows a young girl and a Duke University Scientist both diagnosed with a disease said not to exist – Chronic Lyme disease. Besides following the patients an investigation into the history of Lyme is given and a paper trail of suppressed research and buried documents reveal how the disease has been allowed to continually spread.
Unfortunately the myth that “climate change” is behind tick and disease proliferation is regurgitated despite independent research proving this tenet to be wrong. More and more is coming out on how “climate change” and the green-energy scam are being used to make the public look the other way, and for a money grab. Experts that dare defy the politically motivated narrative state Green energy policies have actually hurt the environment (not to mention human and animal health) and made it far worse. What is rarely mentioned or discussed is the very real climate “engineering” being done by our own government to “control” weather. The coal fly ash, utilized in tropspheric aerosol geoengineering is the primary cause of stratospheric ozone depletion, not chlorofluorocarbons.
