BREAKING: Cigna becomes the third insurance company defendant to settle in Torrey v Infectious Diseases Society of America.

As in other two settlements (Kaiser and BCBS/Tx), this is also being done under cover of secrecy — documents sealed. We may never know what plaintiffs got or what was accomplished. Remaining defendants are the IDSA, 5 other insurance companies and 6 of the prime MDs who crafted the flawed American model of Lyme disease care.

Patients deserve answers. I’m hoping, ultimately, they will get them.
