A Rare Cause of Optic Neuropathy.

Abstract

Lyme disease is a multisystem infection caused by Borrelia burgdorferi that mainly affects the joints, the heart, and the nervous system. Neurological complications usually manifest in untreated patients and present as meningitis, cranial neuropathies, and radiculoneuritis. The authors present the case of a 48-year-old male who developed loss of vision in the right eye over a period of two months. On physical examination a relative afferent pupillary defect of the right eye was noted. Visual evoked potential test revealed delayed P100 latency bilaterally, confirming a bilateral optic neuropathy. The analysis of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) showed a lymphocytic meningitis. After an extensive work-up, a diagnosis of Lyme neuroborreliosis with meningitis and optic neuritis was made. The patient was treated with antibiotics and showed gradual improvement. The follow-up brain MRI revealed a mild T2 hyperintensity on the right optic nerve with gliosis, sequelae of the inflammatory process.

Lyme disease should always be considered in patients from endemic areas with nonspecific symptoms. The diagnosis of neuroborreliosis is challenging, but prompt identification and treatment can prevent the development of complications and sequelae.

Again, just because there isn’t thousands of cases in the literature – doesn’t mean this is rare.  It’s only rare because so many go undiagnosed and testing misses over half of all patients.  If you type in eye or optic in the search bar on this website, you will quickly determine eye issues with Lyme is not rare at all.

Rand Paul gives first interview since recovering from COVID-19, says he had no symptoms

By Talia Kaplan | Fox News

In his first interview since recovering from COVID-19, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., described what it was like to contract the new coronavirus.

“I had an extraordinarily mild case,” Paul, who is also a doctor, said on “Fox & Friends” on Monday. “I had no symptoms, never had a headache, never had a body ache, never had a fever, never had a cough.”

He added that he would not have gone to the hospital or the doctor’s office if he didn’t know it was going around and if he hadn’t been traveling so much.

“It’s a bizarre sort of situation that some people get very, very sick, even die from this and some people get no symptoms,” Paul said.

This is important because the media is pushing the idea that everyone is getting severely sick and dying from this.  Please remember that the vast majority get a mild case or as in this situation, no symptoms at all, and go on with life.

He states that he has immunity to COVID-19 now “presumably” and therefore can attend and treat those with it.

Again, this immunity issue is completely avoided by mainstream media but is extremely important. By holing up and avoiding each other, we are not allowing nature to run its course. Of course those who are ill should take proper measures but the world – wide quarantining we are experiencing defies all that is known about viruses.

At a hospital in Chicago, a non-randomized sample found that 30-50% of patients tested for COVID-19 have antibodies in their system, suggesting they already had the virus and have potential immunity. (See link for article)

Again, I feel I had this back in January – as did my entire family. I’ve spoke with many friends and they say the same.
Excerpt:
Professor Knut Wittkowski, for twenty years head of The Rockefeller University’s Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design, says that social distancing and lockdown is the absolutely worst way to deal with an airborne respiratory virus.
Further, he offers data to show that China and South Korea had already reached their peak number of cases when they instituted their containment measures. In other words, nature had already achieved, or nearly achieved, herd immunity.
Our current course, he warns, will only prolong the crisis and likely guarantee a second wave of infections in the Fall.
Herd immunity, remember that? It’s the argument used repeatedly for pushing vaccines, yet when it comes to a wild virus and the body’s innate ability to create antibodies to it, all the vaccine proponents go silent on herd immunity and only see a vaccine.
Excerpt:
An elderly man critically ill from the coronavirus is among the first few patients in Milwaukee to receive a plasma transfusion in hopes that the antibodies from someone who has recovered from COVID-19 will help his body fight the virus.
The only problem is the lack of plasma donors.
In order to be eligible to donate patients have to be symptom free for 28 days, or for at least 14 days with a verified negative test.
Recovered patients interested in donating plasma can apply online.

New York, California and Other States Plan For Reopening As Coronavirus Crisis Eases

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Ten U.S. governors on the east and west coasts banded together on Monday in two regional pacts to coordinate gradual economic reopenings as the coronavirus crisis finally appeared to be ebbing. (See link for article)

The ten states are as follows:

  • New York
  • California
  • Oregon
  • Washington state
  • New Jersey
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • Massachusetts

To show the completely arbitrary nature of this, please see the stats.  The ten states above have vastly higher death rates than Wisconsin:  https://www.statista.com/statistics/1103688/coronavirus-covid19-deaths-us-by-state/

Wisconsin is completely shut down due to 155 deaths, yet get infected in their back yards with Lyme/MSIDS, get sick, struggle, and yes – even die, regularly but we don’t make the map – nor does any other disease except the one authorities want.

Ponder this for just a moment.

Triumph tulip mixture.
