Industry Kick-Backs to Doctors

https://medicalxpress.com/news/2017-03-real-extent-industry-payments-doctors.html  According to an online survey completed by 3,542 adults asking the names of the physicians they had seen most often, 65% visited doctors who had accepted industry payment.  Family Medicine docs and OBGYN’s received the most.  http://www.springer.com/medicine/internal/journal/11606

“The findings suggest that although physicians who accept industry payments are in the minority, they are caring for a very substantial portion of America’s adult patient population,” explains Genevieve Pham-Kanter, leader of the study at Drexel University.

She feels the results underestimate the problem.

She also states, “Drug and device companies tend to pursue relationships with key opinion leaders in medicine because of these leaders’ potential to influence the clinical practice of others, even those who themselves do not accept industry payments.”

https://medicalxpress.com/news/2016-10-industry-payments-dermatologists.html#nRlv This study reports 8,333 dermatologists received 208,613 payments totaling $34 million in 2014, the first year for which a full 12 months of financial data have been released.

https://medicalxpress.com/news/2016-05-pediatricians-industry-payment.html#nRlv This 2014 study reports more than $32 million went to general pediatricians and pediatric sub specialists.  This is extremely important as these are the folks pushing vaccines.  These kickbacks come from the very companies with patents and are manufacturing vaccines.

https://vactruth.com/2016/08/06/8-reasons-doctors-push-vaccines/  Why docs push vaccines:

* Doctors are taught in medical school that vaccines are safe and necessary.

*Private practice docs may lose hospital referral privileges if they don’t vaccinate.

*Private practice docs must pay for cost of vaccines they use – which encourages them to use expired vaccines to recoup costs.

*Pharmaceutical companies court docs and give them bennies.

*Doctors think vaccine-induced injuries are part of normal child development.

*Doctors who question vaccines are publicly humiliated or scorned.

*Doctors are protected from being sued when vaccine injuries or vaccine death occurs.

*Doctors receive bonuses for vaccinating children from insurance companies. Blue Cross Blue Shield offers a $400 bonus per vaccinated patient to providers who fully vaccinate least 63 percent of the children in their practice by age two. This amount could reach thousands of dollars in bonuses for the average doctor.

https://www.cms.gov/OpenPayments/index.html  Want to know if your doctor is getting kickbacks?  The Open Payments website is a federal program that collects information about payments drug and device companies make to physicians in the form of travel, research, gifts, speaking fees, and meals. It also includes any ownership interests that doctors or their immediate family members may have in these companies as well.

https://projects.propublica.org/docdollars/  Another cool website to find your doctor as well as a breakdown of the top companies behind the briberies and even a listing by state.

While most physicians receive payments averaging about $193, it does add up over time. Between August 2013 to December 2015 Genetech, Inc.,the maker of drugs such as the allergy drug Xolair and anti-viral drug Tamiflu, made payments totaling $727 million to doctors and research hospitals.  http://www.naturalnews.com/2017-03-08-65-of-doctors-are-getting-cash-kickbacks-from-big-pharma.html

https://www.propublica.org/article/doctors-who-take-company-cash-tend-to-prescribe-more-brand-name-drugs  A ProPublica analysis has found for the first time that doctors who receive payments from the medical industry do indeed tend to prescribe drugs differently than their colleagues who don’t. And the more money they receive, on average, the more brand-name medications they prescribe.

Time for transparency.

MyLymeData – Presentation

  Published on Apr 21, 2017

Lorraine Johnson, JD, MBA, CEO of LymeDisease.org, presents results from MyLymeData in San Ramon, CA, on April 8, 2017. MyLymeData uses big data research tools which allow patients to quickly and privately pool their data to determine which treatments work best. For more information, go to www.LymeDisease.org.

This informative talk has some telling graphs.

At 5:12 Johnson explains a graph which shows the disproportionate amount of money going toward Lyme Disase research versus other diseases.  Only 3 small clinical trials on the treatment of chronic Lyme disease were funded by the NIH – the most recent was 15 years ago.  Fifty one percent of infectious disease trials are funded by industry – but industry isn’t interested in Lyme Disease.

At 10:36 using standard government questions used by the CDC and the NIH, she then explains another graph showing that those suffering with chronic Lyme disease have a worse quality of life than those with MS, Fibromyalgia, and even congestive heart failure.  This finding is in agreement with two other studies.

22:38 A graph shows that according to the survey about half were on antibiotics and about half were on alternative therapies.  The most popular and successful alternative treatment was herbal protocols.  Interestingly, 331 people did stem cells treatments but only 3% found them to be effective.  Sixty-nine percent stated that rife was not effective or they were unsure.

Thousands are taking the MyLymedata surveys giving important data that we can take to legislators to drive change.

Why We Need the Parental Rights Amendment

   1.5 Min

Published on Feb 27, 2017
Find out why parental rights is an issue that matters to us all.

A proposed Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (PRA) would provide that “the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children is a fundamental right.” By setting a firm constitutional standard to protect these rights, the amendment would provide clear direction for courts, doctors, child welfare workers, and other government officials. Racial bias would diminish as fewer cases are left to the discretion of a judge or other state agent.  Another provision of the proposed Amendment would protect the rights of persons with disabilities.  The proposal states, “The parental rights guaranteed by this article shall not be denied or abridged on account of disability.”

The family of Justina Pelletier found that out the hard way in 2014 when the state of Massachusetts took Justina from them and placed her in the custody of Boston Children’s Hospital. Doctors there were free to enroll her in clinical trials (without parental consent) for the somatoform disorder diagnosis they had given her, rather than continuing the treatment for Mitochondrial disease that her parents and doctors at Tufts Medical Center had been following. After public outrage following her parents going public, Justina was finally returned to her parents 16 months later, in much worse condition than when she was taken away. Her story reemerged in 2016 as the family filed suit in federal court against the state and the hospital who so severely injured their daughter.

Isaiah Rider of Missouri was also taken by the state over a disagreement regarding his treatment. He was finally released by the state of Illinois who had been granted custody (though he was never a resident of the state until he went into foster care) when Lurie Children’s Hospital (Chicago) doctors decided they knew better than his mom. While in foster care, Rider suffered sexual assault. He was finally returned to the custody of his grandparents in his home state, but wasn’t fully released from Illinois care until June of 2016, months after his 18th birthday!

Lyme/MSIDS patients are all too familiar with abuse by the mainstream medical establishment.  Parents with LD/MSIDS are often told they have Munchausen by proxy, a psychological disorder marked by attention-seeking behavior by a caregiver through those who are in their care. Infected children having a difficult time in school are told they are “lazy,” or “bored” and they just need to buckle down and work harder.

Currently, federal law states that parents need their child’s consent to view their health and educational records. https://madisonarealymesupportgroup.com/2017/02/21/parental-rights-in-medical-settings/

ParentalRights.org President Jim Mason met with Senator Lindsey Graham’s staff last Tuesday to lay the groundwork for reintroducing the Parental Rights Amendment (PRA) in the U.S. Senate very soon.  Passing an amendment requires a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate.  This is important because states are adopting pieces of the U.N. Rights of the child which is a threat to parental rights, and even though the United States has refused to ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the CRC can still have a tremendous affect on U.S. law. If the Convention is co-opted into customary international law, its provisions will shape how our law is understood, and could even be used to pressure American lawmakers and judges to craft new policies to satisfy America’s “international obligations.”  In effect, the Convention would be imposed on the United States, with or without our consent.

On May 25, 2000, two optional protocols were adopted, each of which has been ratified by over 120 states. The first restricts the involvement of children in military conflicts. The second bans the sale of children, child prostitution, and child pornography. It is significant to note that the United States has ratified both of these protocols, so ratification of the full CRC will have no positive impact in these areas of concern.

Gardasil, Female Reproduction, & Lyme/MSIDS

http://www.thevaccinereaction.org/2017/04/girls-ovaries-destroyed-by-gardasil-merck-did-not-research-effects-of-vaccine-on-female-reproduction/  Published April 12, 2017

Girl’s Ovaries Destroyed by Gardasil: Merck Did Not Research Effects of Vaccine on Female Reproduction

by Arjun Walia

Please see link above for entire article.

Numerous studies have shown that studies to approve vaccines do not specifically look for serious adverse reactions.

This article cites numerous young women who had adverse reactions after receiving the HPV vaccine which includes premature ovarian failure (POF) and premature ovarian insufficiency.

Even the College of Pediatrics put out a statement:

It has recently come to the attention of the College that one of the recommended vaccines could possibly be associated with the very rare but serious condition of premature ovarian failure (POF), also known as premature menopause. There have been two case report series (3 cases each) published since 2013 in which post-menarcheal adolescent girls developed laboratory documented POF within weeks to several years of receiving Gardasil, a four-strain human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV4).

According to Walia, original rat safety studies and human vaccine trials did not assess long term ovarian function, and since licensure of Gardisil in 2006 there have been around 213 VAERS adverse reaction reports including premature menopause and amenorrhea – 88% of which are associated directly with Gardasil.

Malia states that many doctors are unaware of the possible connection between Gardasil and POF and may not even think to report to VAERS  https://vaers.hhs.gov/index these POF cases or even girls missing menses for a protracted time.

The reason this is important for Lyme/MSIDS patients is the connection between Gardasil and Bartonella:  https://madisonarealymesupportgroup.com/2016/04/24/gardasil-and-bartonella/
