Blending Traditional and Integrative Medicine

Green Medicine of Wisconsin (GMOFWI) is a blend of integrative and traditional medicine, whose goal is to optimize your lifestyle, nutrition, exercise and sleep to promote the best possible health practice philosophy. GM0FWI believes in an individual one-on-one approach to medicine as there is no one-size-fits-all. The program is tailor-made and handcrafted to an individual’s needs. Initial appointments are usually two hours long. Questions are encouraged and every effort is made to give you a complete understanding of your conditions and your treatment. A strong emphasis is placed on healthy lifestyles rather than medication although, we realize that medication is needed at times.

Green Medicine of Wisconsin has evolved from a collective experience of over 30 years in medicine. Traditional medicine is based on illness rather than wellness. Green Medicine is molecular medicine which goes to the molecular level to make each cell healthier. When this is accomplished the body begins to work as it was designed to work. Simply put, it is like fertilizing a plant that is not doing well, you simply give it what it needs to flourish. The body works in much the same way. Individuals must be willing to make appropriate lifestyle changes to accomplish this but the results can be amazing.

Dr. Green began his medical career in 1980 as chief of microbiology, immunology and virology in an 800 bed Midwestern hospital. He then completed medical school at the University of Iowa and followed with a residency in family practice. Family practice was chosen because it deals with the” whole individual”. Becoming disillusioned with corporate medicine and its emphasis on treating disease rather than promoting healthy lifestyles he has continued to seek further education. This has led to board certification in not only Family Practice but Integrative and Holistic Medicine and Antiaging and Functional Medicine. He is also trained in medical acupuncture and is a Reiki Master. Dr. Green is a Lyme literate physician and a member of ILADS. He has help many people suffering from Lyme disease regain an active, productive lifestyle.
