Former NC Senator Has Powassan

http://www.witn.com/content/news/Former-Sen-Kay-Hagans-illness-linked-to-virus-spread-by-ticks-413508473.html  By Associated Press | Posted: Sat 9:31 PM, Feb 11, 2017

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) – Former North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan’s family says the brain inflammation that she’s recovering from was caused by a virus that’s spread by ticks from animals to humans.

A family spokeswoman on Saturday described the cause of Hagan’s encephalitis, citing a doctor who had been treating her. Recently received test results indicated Hagan contracted the Powassan virus.

Hagan’s husband says his wife has improved since she was moved to an Atlanta rehabilitation center three weeks ago, but that the recovery process will be long.

The former senator initially was in a Washington hospital in December and was later in Chapel Hill. She was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2008 and served through 2014.

Tick research must be funded to protect us, our children, our pets and
other critters to prevent ALL Tick-borne diseases! In 41 years since Lyme
disease was found in CT, ticks and TBDs have been allowed to spread to over 49%
of the counties in the USA.

Please pass this on to others and contact your US Congressional Reps.

LymeAid4Kids Needs Help

“The Eternal Nightmare”

We stand here…and wonder
why it is dark,
A haze covers our lives,
severing us from the world.
We search, grasp—there’s nothing to support us.
No longer do we laugh; we only cry grown up tears.
Our childhood is shattered, our souls stung and wounded.
Will sun rays ever reach
the children with Lyme?

This poem, written by a teen who had chronic Lyme & seizures, paints the bleak picture children who develop chronic Lyme often face.

Together, author Amy Tan and the Lyme Disease Association (LDA) have worked to bring those “sun rays” to the children of Lyme. In 2003, internationally acclaimed best-selling author Amy Tan approached the LDA. Ms. Tan, herself a victim of chronic Lyme disease with neurologic symptoms, recognized that an early diagnosis and proper early treatment may prevent patients from developing the serious manifestations which often result from chronic Lyme disease. She wanted to stop children from developing chronic Lyme and wanted the LDA to set up a fund for children seeking diagnosis and Lyme treatment.

LDA worked together with the LDA attorney and a Lyme literate physician to devise a fund which we named LymeAid 4 Kids (LA4K). We announced the fund’s creation with Amy Tan at the LDA/Columbia 2003 Philadelphia Lyme & Tick-Borne Diseases scientific conference. She presented the initial check on stage to the LDA President.

Thanks to support from Ms. Tan and from people like you, since that time, the LDA has awarded $321,000, including $45,000 in 2016, for children from states all across the country, enabling children whose families face financial hardship to begin the process of a Lyme diagnosis and Lyme treatment.

In 2015, according to CDC statistics, almost 400,000 new cases of Lyme occurred in the US. Children ages 5-9, 10-14 are at the highest risk of acquiring the disease, and the LDA has calculated that 30% of CDC reported Lyme cases are children ages 0-19, with 5% of the cases children ages 0-4. These are children who struggle every day to get out of bed, to shower or bathe, to do school work. Sometimes, children with chronic Lyme are unable to do one or more of those things for weeks, month, or years of their lives. Many grow up not remembering a time they were well and were unable to have friends, to play, or to attend school.

The fund is almost depleted. LA4K applications to help our children continue to arrive. Your help is needed now; your donations of any amount are welcome. Join us in our fight to provide an early diagnosis and early treatment for the hundreds of thousands of children afflicted with this debilitating disease. Together, we can help prevent children across the United States of America from living “The Eternal Nightmare.”

Study Showing Contaminated Vaccines

http://www.thevaccinereaction.org/2017/02/dirty-vaccines-new-study-reveals-prevalence-of-contaminants/

A new article written by Celeste McGovern reveals that every human vaccine tested (over 30) was contaminated by unsafe levels of metals such as lead, tungsten, gold, and chromium, and debris, including red blood cells, and is linked to cancer and autoimmune disease.

The study published in the International Journal of Vaccines and Vaccination shows micro- and nano-sized particulate matter of inorganic elements not declared in the products’ ingredients lists.

One researcher observed that the unusual chemical compositions look like burnt waste.

But McGovern states:

“There are dozens of other ‘incidents’ which would better be called acts of criminal negligence, including:

*The polio vaccine doled out between 1955 and 1963 was contaminated with simian virus 40 (SV40) from monkey kidney cells used to produce the vaccine. It’s been linked to the growing epidemic of cancer.

*In 2007, Merck & Company, Inc. recalled 1.2 million doses of Hib vaccines due to contamination with bacteria called cereus, a potentially lethal food-poisoning bug.

*In 2009, more than 40,000 doses of a meningitis C vaccine for babies were withdrawn from the British market when they were found to be contaminated with blood-poisoning bacteria, S aureus.

*In 2010, deep sequence analysis of eight different live attenuated virus vaccines revealed unexpected viral sequences in three of them: retrovirus avian leukosis was found in a measles vaccine, a virus similar to simian retrovirus was identified in Rotateq anti-diarrhea vaccine developed by CDC consultant Paul Offit, and the entire genome sequence of porcine cirovirus1 was found in Rotarix leading the FDA to suspend the rotavirus vaccine.

*In 2014, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration ordered GlaxoSmithKline to review the manufacturing operation of its flu vaccine when it found microbiological contamination of products purporting to be sterile.

*In 2013, Merck & Company, Inc. recalled one batch of Gardasil when glass particles were discovered in several phials.

*Recently it was reported that Sanofi Pasteur refused to recall its ActHIB vaccine for babies, even though it knew it was contaminated with glass shards. The FDA didn’t object.”

McGovern claims even when vaccine manufacturers are given warnings, nothing changes since they are immune from lawsuits.

Moores v. Colvin Help for Lyme Patients Seeking Disability

http://www.leagle.com/decision/In%20FDCO%2020160325E09/MOORES%20v.%20COLVIN

Recently, a California attorney, Barbara Arnold, represented a Lyme patient which led to a court order recognizing Chronic Lyme as a legal basis to claim federal disability benefits.

Arnold, a Lyme patient herself, understands what patients go through and has appeared before government officials many times before on the behalf of patients.  She also understands that chronic Lyme patients often aren’t approved for SSDI benefits because they can’t “prove” they have Lyme due to the poor CDC two-tier testing in which half of the cases are missed.

In Moores v. Colvin, a federal district court ruled in favor of a Lyme patient seeking SSDI benefits even when laboratory evidence falls short of the CDC’s two-tiered testing, and that laboratory findings of limited antibody reactivity to Borrelia burgdorferi, when interpreted by a treating physician, an ILADS standard, meet the evidentiary threshold for proving a “medically determinable impairment” under Social Security Law – a first of its kind.
